Territory Account Manager (TAM)
ViiV Healthcare is seeking an experienced, results‑driven professional for the Specialty Sales role on the long‑acting HIV Injectable Treatment Sales team. The role requires working with healthcare professionals (HCP) in a fast‑paced, complex environment to adopt new approaches to HIV treatment, partner cross‑functionally, remain adaptable in a launch context, and deliver business objectives through a buy‑and‑bill treatment model.
Responsibilities- Deliver results through exceptional sales and service
- Identify, target, and win new business by influencing HCPs to adopt a new approach to HIV treatment
- Engage with HCPs, nurses, staff, and administrators to understand clinical, organizational, and financial challenges and opportunities
- Leverage data analytics, business acumen, and market expertise to identify high‑priority prospects
- Prepare and execute business plans tailored to each customer’s needs, helping HCPs scale their treatment model
- Coordinate and partner with cross‑functional team members (e.g., Clinical Nurse Educators, Field Reimbursement Managers) to deliver an integrated customer experience
- Maintain a portfolio‑based selling mindset and close internal communication loops for cohesive service
- Provide exceptional customer service by proactively addressing HCP problems, needs, and requests
- Adapt execution plans to achieve performance goals using KPIs, scaling successes, and problem solving
- Develop and foster external relationships with key customers and thought leaders
- Act in ways consistent with ViiV’s culture, expectations, and values
- Embrace ambiguity in a launch environment and view setbacks as learning opportunities
- Escalate issues and risks when needed, displaying courage to "speaking up"
- Understand and follow key compliance and regulatory guidelines
- BA/BS degree
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience
- 3+ years of specialty sales experience
- Ability to travel domestically as necessary, including overnight travel; majority of time spent in market
- Valid driver’s license
- Degree in Business, Marketing, or Life Sciences
- Strong planning, organization, analytical, business acumen, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience influencing and collaborating cross‑functionally in a matrixed environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Sales success in complex market access coverage situations
- Experience managing cold‑chain treatment products with HCPs
- Knowledge of HIV treatment and/or prevention markets
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred but not required)
- Experience partnering cross‑functionally within an integrated account team model, including multiple field‑based members
