Outside Sales Representative

We are a New Orleans-based, largely online, custom apparel and promotional products company with clients across the country. We are looking to expand that growth with dedicated Outside Account Managers in New Orleans and surrounding areas. We are searching for outgoing, self-motivated and communicative candidates who are passionate about branding and merchandise. Outside Account Managers have the key focus of bringing in new B2B customers and will develop leads, follow up on them, and act as the point of contact for their clients, helping businesses develop and produce unique, interesting and profitable merchandising lines.

The core focus for this role is bringing in new business, and your compensation (Salary + aggressive commission) will be geared towards that goal.

Outside Sales Responsibilities:

• Actively identify and connect with new leads in person and online.
• Consistently meet and exceed monthly sales and margin goals.
• Communicate with clients to understand their needs and explain product value.
• Collaborate with graphic designers and internal departments to facilitate production and convey brand requirements.
• Keep accurate records and notes on company data including contacts, addresses and inventories when needed.
• Resolve complaints and quality control issues internally and externally by improving processes and ensuring that the client is satisfied.
• Identify and advise on trends as they relate to clients you manage
• Serve as a client advocate with vendors, designers and suppliers.
• Help develop strategies to continue to grow this sector of the business.

Outside Sales Requirements:

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in sales, ideally in print, promo or other customizable products.
• Experience with a CRM system a plus.
• Experience in Print / Promo products a plus.
• Ability to collect, track, and analyze data.
• Adaptability and strong problem solving skills.
• Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally.
• Understanding of consumer behaviors and industry trends.
• Willingness to actively develop extensive product knowledge.
• Must complete and maintain a non-disclosure agreement.
• Maintain an average of 40 hour work week.

Additional Occasional Responsibilities

• Periodic sales reporting for internal use
• Occasional deliveries / pickups to and from vendors and clients
• Coordinating business activities and fulfillment including e-fulfillment, deliveries, production dates when needed.

Compensation

Compensation will include a base salary (based on experience) + commission. Salary range on job posted reflects salary plus a low estimated commission, up to the higher range of commission with typical performance.
