- Develop a strategic territory plan by identifying and meeting with prospective agents regarding Pro Ag’s insurance offerings.
- Drive additional business through agency visits, social events, trade shows, and correspondence.
- Meet or exceed sales goals for both existing and new business within Iowa while developing and maintaining a database of current and prospective agents.
- Serve as a primary relationship owner, trusted advisor, and point of contact for assigned agent accounts to help them grow and manage their business.
- Become a subject‑matter expert on Pro Ag’s products, business, and applications, and stay up‑to‑date on industry trends.
- Gain and maintain a clear understanding of Crop Insurance and Pro Ag’s Standard Reinsurance Agreement.
- Monitor competitor and industry trends to identify changes in the marketplace.
- Collaborate with internal resources to prepare for and deliver training or educational events with regional training staff on Pro Ag programs, products, and technology.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and government regulations.
- Perform other relevant duties and projects assigned.
- At least two years of sales experience; crop insurance experience preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to facilitate cross‑functionally.
- Knowledge of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to the company’s business.
- Ability to travel outside the normal work location (up to 75%).
- Independent, goal‑driven, capable of achieving organizational goals and tasks with energy and drive.
- Ability to build trust and relationships with key constituencies.
