This job requires an understanding of the following as they relate to meeting the needs of the customer as well as planning, executing and measuring results:
Travel to customer and principal sites is required.
- Professionally and promptly respond to phone calls, messages, and emails.
- Align sales efforts and daily activities with the goals and strategic objectives of the business unit (BU).
- Support the business units inside sales & service teams with complex quotes, orders, project coordination, and customer account support.
- Collaborate with other JHC sales resources in the pursuit of corporate sales initiatives as required.
- Participate in and support any applicable conference and trade show initiatives.
- Uphold JHC’s Total Customer Commitment (TCC) standards at all times.
- Maintain productive working relationships with JHC product principles and provide support as needed.
- Attend required and recommended training to maintain and expand technical and sales competencies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support team objectives, particularly during high-volume or time-sensitive situations.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer and internal relationships.
- Travel throughout the JHC service territory as required.
- Minimum 5+ years of outside sales experience in a municipal and/or industrial equipment environment, preferably dealing with water and/or wastewater chemical treatment systems, flow, measurement, & analytical instrumentation, pumps and process equipment sales and service
- An understanding of Project Level sales processes is also preferred
- Demonstrable, in-depth knowledge in the sales, service, and repair of chemical treatment systems, controls, instrumentation, general service pumps, and other process equipment
- Experience with and/or technical knowledge of other municipal/petrochemical equipment categories pertaining to water & wastewater processes including (but not limited to) chemical injection systems, instrumentation, controls, pump (chemical feed or otherwise), agitators, pressure vessels and piping systems, etc.
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline preferred; demonstrated technical knowledge and relevant industry experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
