Interior Exterior Building Supply
, a leading commercial and residential building material supplier in the Southeast, is looking for a high-energy Outside Sales Representative to join our team in New Orleans, LA!

We are looking for a motivated sales professional who thrives on building relationships, developing new business, and growing sales within the residential construction market . This position will focus on developing and maintaining relationships with home builders, contractors, and other residential construction professionals while providing exceptional service and product solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and grow a territory of residential building material customers
• Make regular in-person sales calls on existing and prospective customers
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and customer development
• Build strong, long-term relationships with home builders, contractors, and other industry professionals
• Understand customer needs and recommend the right products and solutions for their projects
• Prepare accurate estimates and quotes for potential jobs and actively follow up to secure the sale
• Work closely with inside sales, operations, vendors, and branch personnel to ensure an exceptional customer experience
• Maintain accurate customer, sales, and project information
• Stay informed about market conditions, competitive activity, products, and industry trends
• Participate in customer events, product demonstrations, vendor programs, and other sales activities
• Meet or exceed sales and profitability goals

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
• 1–2 years of sales experience required; outside sales experience strongly preferred
• Experience in the building materials, construction, or related industry preferred
• Knowledge of building materials such as drywall, metal framing, lumber, roofing, insulation, and related products is a plus
• Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing customer relationships
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based sales environment
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
