Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Gretna, LA, with projects across southeast Louisiana and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Leaaf Environmental has spent 20+ years Minimizing Environmental Risk for commercial, industrial, and government clients across the Gulf South. Our asbestos, lead, and mold (IAQ) team handles the work from survey through clearance, and we are adding a team member.
The role fits your experience. We are hiring one person, and the level flexes:
- Ideal: a few years of hands-on asbestos, lead, mold, or air monitoring field experience. You can run surveys and clearance sampling on your own and write clean reports.
- Newer to the field: strong fundamentals and work ethic. We will train you and put you on a defined certification path.
- Senior: proposals, reports, in-depth understanding of related state and federal regulations, deep inspection experience, specification writing, or management-plan work. We have room for that too.
- Project management experience is preferred at any level, not required.
What you’ll do
- Asbestos, lead, and mold surveys and inspections (LDEQ-regulated work)
- Air monitoring, exposure monitoring, and clearance testing
- Mold and moisture assessments
- Abatement oversight and documentation
- Clear, accurate technical reports. We take pride in our deliverables.
What you’ll get
- A published career ladder with quarterly growth reviews. You will always know where you stand and what advancement takes.
- Certification support toward LDEQ accreditations and beyond
- Varied work: schools, hospitals, industrial facilities, government buildings
- A 20+ year firm with a great culture, competitive pay based on level and experience, and benefits
What we need from you
- Detail-oriented field habits and strong writing
- Valid driver’s license; able to work in the U.S., pass E-Verify, and eligible to obtain a TWIC
- Comfortable in PPE and respirators on active project sites at heights; some night and weekend abatement shifts
- LDEQ lead and asbestos accreditation is a plus, or the willingness to earn it
