Security Dispatcher- Lacombe - Night Shift

Job Overview

This position is a Security Operations dispatcher responsible for handling internal and external calls related to security assistance. The role responds to routine and emergency calls, dispatches security officers, monitors video surveillance, maintains security logs, and coordinates with on‑duty supervisors and regional clinics.

• Consistently answer calls using the standard company greeting.
• Solicit and document information needed from callers to determine the level of security assistance and dispatch officers accordingly.
• Respond to all codes and notifications during emergency incidents.
• Monitor Hospital/Clinic video screens and maintain the security log and all associated computer entries.
• Provide notifications to on‑duty supervisors and coordinate emergency preparedness for the main campus and regional clinics.

• Education
  :
  High School diploma or equivalent.
• Work Experience
  :
  Minimum 1 year as a telephone operator, dispatcher, or related role.
• Certifications
  :
  International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  :
  • Computer skills and dexterity for data entry and retrieval of patient information; proficiency with Windows‑style applications and keyboard.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, able to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Good analytical and judgment skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Command of the English language, speaking clearly and distinctly.

The role is primarily sedentary with occasional lifting or carrying of up to 10 pounds. Work is performed within a healthcare setting, with no exposure to blood or body fluids. Additional exposure to hazardous medications or waste may occur, depending on job duties.
