Job Overview
Assist in maintaining the safety, security, and orderly operations of Iowa Speedway while providing exceptional customer service. This position requires a visible security presence to guests and employees and assists with directions, facility information, parking guidance, and disabled assistance.
Responsibilities- Provide a visible security presence to guests and employees to promote safety and reassurance.
- Assist guests with directions, facility information, parking guidance, and general inquiries.
- Provide assistance to guests with disabilities in a courteous and professional manner.
- Control access to ticketed and secure areas during events.
- Screen all individuals entering restricted or ticketed areas to ensure valid credentials or tickets.
- Monitor assigned areas and report any safety or security concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintain posts and screen guests for proper tickets and credentials throughout the facility on race weekends.
- Ensure safety is maintained by advising on rules, policies of the facility, and enforcing them when necessary.
- Provide outstanding customer service by giving directions and answering questions.
- Assist competitors, owners, race officials, and customers by managing parking areas.
- Maintain the physical security of customers, competitors, equipment, and other assigned areas by patrolling on foot and in Iowa Speedway vehicles.
- Roam the grounds on foot and in golf carts assisting guests, relieving co‑workers for breaks, and responding to calls for assistance.
- Search and screen ticketed guests entering restricted areas for prohibited items and provide safe, orderly crowd control.
- Inspect camping structures upon entry for prohibited items.
- Secure doors and gates at designated times.
- Patrol the property for unwanted, unsafe, and/or suspicious behavior.
- Assist in setting up perimeter fencing and barricades.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Available to work the NASCAR Cup Series event schedule:
August 7–9, 2025 at Iowa Speedway.
Valid driver’s license and a passing motor vehicle license inspection report may be required.
Other Qualifications- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous security experience is preferred but not required.
- Professional appearance, good communication skills, and willingness to work in an outdoor environment.
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
- Reliable transportation to and from the track location.
- Basic computer skills, including corresponding in emails and communicating time‑clock documentation with specific software programs approved by the employer.
