Armed Security Officer PT — Amite, LA — $22.00/hr

• Job Type: Part-time (must be available to work weekends)
• Schedule:
  
  Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 9pm – 5am

• Patrol designated areas and monitor activities to prevent and detect suspicious behavior.
• Actively engage with visitors, employees, and the general public to provide assistance and maintain order.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations.
• Conduct thorough security checks and maintain accurate records of daily activities.
• Operate and maintain firearms and other necessary equipment responsibly and safely.

• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed positions.
• Must possess a valid state armed security officer license.
• At least 1 year of armed security experience.
• Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or security preferred.
• Must be able to pass a drug screening and background investigation.
• Must have reliable transportation and phone.
• Ability to handle firearms and other personal protection equipment (PPE) effectively and safely.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions under pressure.

• Guard Card
• Gun Permit
• Armed LSBPSE License

This job reports to Dave Warren. This is a part-time position (3rd Shift, Weekends). Number of openings: 1.
