As a part‑time security officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as commercial real estate. You will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, remaining visible to discourage incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable, and innovative approach that puts people first.

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real‑estate location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter access points, to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.

Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas for suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance-related concerns, and communicate observations according to posted instructions.

Support daily operations by assisting with access control, visitor interactions, and/or routine security-related checks while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.

Be at least 21 years of age.

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).

Possess access control or badge experience (preferred).

Possess customer service experience (preferred).

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
