Part Time - Armed Officer

Signal Security of South Louisiana is seeking a Part Time Armed Officer to work in the French Quarter area on Thursdays and Fridays, 8A-6P. The ideal candidate will also be able to assist on short notice for other sites and be next in line for a full time position. Candidates must have open availability, reliable transportation, and the ability to follow strict standards.

Law Enforcement / Military preferred. Candidates must have a Louisiana State Armed License and own their own weapon.

Location:

Metro New Orleans / New Orleans East

Pay Range: $17–$18 per hour

Armed Officer:
Starts at $17 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule:

Part time positions available now with the ability to move full time. Weekend availability required. Day & overnight shifts assigned based on site needs.

• Perform routine foot patrols to maintain site security and deter incidents.
• Monitor and document on-site activities through detailed reports.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional presence.
• Respond to incidents swiftly and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when required.

Preferred but Not

Required:

Previous experience in security, military, or law enforcement is a plus.

• Must pass a background check & drug screening.
• Own a smartphone (for clocking in, reporting, and communication).
• Reliable transportation (personal vehicle required) & a valid driver's license

• Must obtain a Louisiana Security License (can be completed before starting).
• Physical Endurance – Ability to stand, walk, sit, or drive for long periods.
