911/ Communications About The Job

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for 911/Communications we are seeking motivated and dedicated men and women looking to make a difference in our new communications center opened in 2020.

Benefit Packages Offered Include:
  • Starting hourly rate is $25.60 an hour. After completion of a 1-year probationary period, it tops out at $29.72 an hour. (experienced applicants may start at top pay with applicable transfer). At 5 years of service, staff members enter longevity pay earning 2.5% followed by .5% every year through your 25th year totaling 12.5% added onto base pay and any cost of living increases;
  • Officer in charge and Field Training Officer hourly incentive pay available
  • Earn 15 paid sick days a year
  • 2 weeks paid time off (vacation) from year 1 thru 8; 3 weeks paid time off (vacation) from year 8 thru 14; 4 weeks paid time off (vacation) from year 15 thru 24; 5 weeks paid vacation at year 25;
    * full-time employment with other PERS employers county toward the rate you earn
  • You can begin using your earned vacation time soon after hire date
  • Opportunity to earn up to 5 additional paid time off days (vacation) during a calendar year
  • 12 paid holidays a year

Requirements
