Cable Technician II

We are hiring an experienced Cable Technician II to install, test, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems. This role is ideal for a motivated technician who wants steady work, growth opportunities, and a strong team environment.

Responsibilities:

+ Install and terminate CAT3 and CAT5 cabling, jacks, faceplates, and surface-mount boxes

+ Build and organize telecom closets including racks, patch panels, fiber hardware, and grounding

+ Perform cable testing and troubleshooting using toners, meters, and continuity tools

+ Identify active voice and data circuits

+ Complete all required documentation accurately and on time

+ Follow all safety and quality standards

Requirements:

+ Strong problem-solving and communication skills

+ Ability to work on ladders, in ceilings, and in confined spaces

+ Ability to lift 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds

+ Ability to distinguish cable colors and read small print

+ Reliable attendance and a professional attitude

+ Willingness to travel within the region as needed

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Orleans, LA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
