Key Responsibilities:
- Perform heavy and minor repairs on trucks and trailers
- Maintain a clean and organized shop, along with accurate parts inventory
- Utilize computer-based diagnostic systems, experience, and skills to assess repairs, and determine warranty issues
- Carry out a detailed preventative maintenance program, including fueling, greasing, oil and fluid changes, and truck inspections for needed repairs
- Accurately log all work performed in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Ensure that all maintenance work is compliant with regulatory standards
- Follow proper safety procedures and protocols in all maintenance tasks
- Assist in creating and updating maintenance procedures as necessary
- Diesel Mechanic experience or completion of a Diesel Certification program
- Familiarity with the Manager Plus maintenance system is a plus
- Strong experience with suspension systems, rear ends, transmissions, air brakes, minor engine work (such as injectors, turbos), and more
- Proficiency in using computer-based diagnostic tools to identify needed repairs
- A Class A CDL is a plus, but not required
- Ability to stand or walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods
- Navigating the facility may involve exposure to harsh weather, ladders, racks, slick or uneven surfaces, and other industrial hazards
- Ability to lift up to 100lbs independently
