Entry Level Railcar Technicians - Per Diem + Hotel, Up to $30/hr - IA

Pattison Company is seeking Railcar Repair and Maintenance Technicians to join their team in Garnavillo, Iowa. This full-time role involves hands-on repairs and maintenance of railcars both on-site and at off-site locations, with opportunities for travel and career advancement. What You’ll Need
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Hand welding skills in all positions (fillet and groove) preferred
  • Understanding of AAR Rules and Regulations or willingness to learn
  • Knowledge of railroad operations, including switching, routing, and rail repair
  • Ability to travel overnight as required
  • Physically able to climb on/off railcars and ladders, work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to wear a half-mask respirator for up to 12 hours
  • Lift 60 to 80 pounds without mechanical assistance
  • Work up to 12-hour shifts and stand for 6-12 hours on uneven surfaces
  • Proficient English communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • MSHA Part 48 certification required (training available on-site)
