Position Overview
Opportunity available for an experienced concrete finisher / cement mason for our Aviation Department. The successful candidate must observe all Boh Bros safety protocols, be drug‑free, have reliable transportation to and from assigned job sites, possess a valid US driver’s license, and pass high‑security background checks required for badge entry to airports, plants and military bases.
Responsibilities- Shovel concrete and work with hand and power tools to patch, trowel, and finish concrete after placement.
- Apply paint‑type finishes to concrete with rollers and brushes, check string lines, and maintain housekeeping standards at job sites.
- Set up for the shift and complete end‑of‑shift clean‑up.
- Work safely and collaboratively in a team setting with other craft workers engaged in heavy construction activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with slip‑form paving equipment (preferably GOMACO RTP 500, TC‑600, GP3, GP4) or related machinery; airfield paving experience and knowledge of stringless technology and mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on slip‑form equipment are a plus.
- Self‑motivated, willing to ask questions, and eager to learn.
- Valid US driver’s license and ability to pass high‑security background checks for badge entry to airports, plants and military bases.
- Current TWIC.
- Required to speak and hear, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms.
- Required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds.
- Need close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must work outdoors in extreme temperatures, humidity, and at heights and excavations; must read tape measures and understand directions.
- May be exposed to dust, odors, fumes, noise and vibration hazards.
- Requires use of various hand and power tools for placement and finishing of concrete.
- Must be able to work long hours, night shifts, weekends, and out of town with per diem applied.
