Job SummaryThe Tank Wash Technician is responsible for executing all proper procedures to clean all trailers, tractors, and peripheral equipment. The technician follows company standards for quality control and delivers the best customer service at the lowest possible cost. The role is accountable for proper completion of all cleaning orders and for personal compliance with all company policies, and will also perform maintenance duties as instructed by the Tank Wash Manager and/or Operations Manager.
Duties- Responsible for cleaning all equipment.
- Ensure that all tanks and peripheral equipment are cleaned to meet proper company standards for quality control.
- Properly clean the exterior of trailers/containers according to company procedures.
- Clean all external valves, pressure relief valves, vacuum relieve valves, fittings, hose connections, and hose tubes on trailers/containers.
- Enforce and practice safety rules and company policy.
- Complete and submit cleaning orders to the Tank Wash Manager.
- Adhere to the Tank Entry Policy.
- Maintain personal compliance with all company policies, including Quality Cleaning Policies, Respirator Policy, and Hazardous Waste Disposal Policy.
- Ensure each cleaning order is completed correctly per company instructions and signed by the cleaner performing the work.
- Tank cleaning experience desired.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be able to pass a respirator fit test and wear a respirator during normal duties (clean shave required).
- Knowledge of DOT, HOS, and FMCSA standards.
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs overhead.
- Position requires frequent standing, bending, and walking.
- Must be able to withstand weather conditions.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered.
