Electrician

• Fabricate and install rigid, aluminum, E.M.T., plasti-bond and P.V.C. conduit
• Use mechanical and 2” – 4” hydraulic benders
• Fabricate and install conduit supports
• Install wire and cable by hand or machine in cable trays
• Perform MCC and switch gear work
• Troubleshoot energized motor controls
• Fabricate and install breakers and fuses, cable trays, batteries, battery charger, bus duct, junction boxes, tagging, term, motors, and transformers
• Size thermal‑overloads, breakers, and fuses
• Terminate motors, transformers, stress cones and cable splicing
• Use hydraulic tools properly
• Read blueprints and apply national electric code requirements
• Use electrical equipment testers including V.O.M., AMP meter and 1,000‑volt insulation tester
• Apply communication and applicable electrical OSHA rules and regulations
• Achieve the cut score on the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Skill Assessment
• Pass a post‑offer, pre‑employment drug/alcohol test and applicable background checks
• Have a minimum of 4 years craft‑specific experience
