We are currently searching for DOT certified trailer mechanics, and HM183 registered inspectors at our Port Allen location!
Shift
Hours:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Pay Range: $24.00 to $38.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.
Responsibilities and QualificationsDemonstrated skill in most of the following areas:
- DOT Registered Inspector with HM-183 certification and ability to effectively and efficiently inspect ISO tanks and tank trailers to align with DOT standards (Preferred)
- Experience with ABS
- The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
- Tank service and repair
- Trailer suspension installation and repair
- MIG/TIG welding experience
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
