Cable Technician II
We are hiring an experienced Cable Technician II to install, test, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems. This role is ideal for a motivated technician who wants steady work, growth opportunities, and a strong team environment.
Responsibilities- Install and terminate CAT3 and CAT5 cabling, jacks, faceplates, and surface-mount boxes
- Build and organize telecom closets including racks, patch panels, fiber hardware, and grounding
- Perform cable testing and troubleshooting using toners, meters, and continuity tools
- Identify active voice and data circuits
- Complete all required documentation accurately and on time
- Follow all safety and quality standards
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work on ladders, in ceilings, and in confined spaces
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds
- Ability to distinguish cable colors and read small print
- Reliable attendance and a professional attitude

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Orleans, LA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
