Responsibilities
Lay out and install wireway, bus duct, cable tray, switches, receptacles and other devices. Build closets by mounting and installing backboards, cross-connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic hardware, and associated equipment. Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required. Complete all IDC connections, including termination of 110/66 blocks and patch panels. Work inside and outside of data center buildings to provide complete data center infrastructure.
Pull wire and/or oversee conduit installations and wire pulling operations. Operate hand tools and equipment that require the use of two hands (e.g., cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.). The shift is Monday‑Friday from 6 am to 5 pm.
- Network equipment experience
- Cat6 termination
- Fiber knowledge and installation experience
- Proficient with the listed hand tools and equipment
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, reports and quality requirements
- Knowledge of universal communications color codes
- Entry‑level experience
Contract to Hire position based out of New Orleans, LA. Fully onsite.
Pay and BenefitsHourly pay range: $21.00 – $25.00 per hour.
