Electrician, Facilities; Caesars Orleans

Job Summary

Ensures safe, efficient operation of all electrical equipment, lighting fixtures, transformer sub‑stations, power and data wiring equipment and other related systems. Assists Shift Supervisors with daily assignments and scheduling of Electrician personnel. Coordinates all functions of the Electrical Shop.

• Responsible for preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance of all electrical equipment and related systems.
• Applies operational procedures as required by state and local codes.
• Mants logs of all equipment status and inventory of parts and materials necessary for repairs.
• Keeps all equipment, equipment rooms and other assigned areas clean.
• Responsible for preventive and regular maintenance of all equipment.
• Assists all other trades in the Facilities Department as directed by Shift Supervisor.
• Performs duties as assigned, presenting oneself as a credit to Caesars and encouraging others to do the same.

• High school graduate preferred.
• Must possess strong communication skills.
• Must be able to work as a team and get along with co‑workers.
• Must present a well‑groomed appearance.
• Minimum five years experience working with electrical equipment and related systems.
• Must possess a Class‑D Electrical License or greater issued by the City of New Orleans.
• Must possess a valid Louisiana Driver's License.

• Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino, work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned task.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, climb ladders and work on man‑lift type equipment.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
• Must be able to read and understand Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical Plans.
