Operating Engineer

On‑site position in Slidell, LA. Estimated hourly compensation: $19.25 – $24.00.

Schedule:

7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

• Operate and support mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems.
• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and remedial work including painting, pressure washing, lighting replacement, plumbing, HVAC system maintenance, water treatment, locksmith tasks, and general maintenance (as permitted by licensing).
• Maintain the CMMS work order system daily and address tenant service requests.
• Respond to on‑call or emergency situations when required.
• Troubleshoot building systems, including electrical, DDC, and pneumatic controls.
• Comply with all safety procedures and participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational training programs.

• 3+ years of related experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
• Trade school, union, military, or college education desirable.
• Universal CFC EPA certification or willingness to obtain within the first year (with JLL assistance).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs, use ladders up to 30ft, and frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and/or drive.
• Strong customer service skills.
