BFA of LA based in Prairieville, LA is seeking a skilled Emergency Vehicle Road Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on emergency vehicles, ensuring they remain fully operational and mission-ready. This position requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality work under tight deadlines.

• Travel to job sites as needed, sometimes in emergency situations
• Perform emergency roadside repairs on fire apparatus, ambulances
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
• Work with a variety of tools, equipment, and diagnostic software
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and emergency personnel
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used.

• 2+ years of Mechanical, Hydraulic, or 12V Automotive Electrical repair and maintenance work
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pumps
• EVT Certification and CDL preferred
• Must be dependable
• Ability to work in high-pressure situations and make quick, accurate decisions
• Excellent customer service skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to prioritize multiple work orders
• Must have the ability to work independently or with less supervision

Ability to lift 50 lbs.; frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stretching, reaching, fine and gross manipulation
