WELDER

Position Summary

Terral River Service, Inc. is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components according to specifications to meet project requirements. The Welder will work with a variety of materials, interpret blueprints, and operate welding equipment to produce high-quality welds. Attention to detail, precision, and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this role.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand project requirements.
• Measure and mark work pieces using straightedges, rulers, and calipers to ensure accuracy.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding processes.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions, ensuring proper penetration and fusion of metals.
• Inspect welds for accuracy, completeness, and defects, and make necessary repairs as needed.
• Clean and prepare work pieces by removing rust, scale, and other impurities.
• Monitor equipment for proper functioning and perform routine maintenance as required.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Complete required documentation and recordkeeping related to welding activities.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Welder, with a strong portfolio of past welding projects.
• Welding certification is a plus.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of different welding techniques and materials.
• Familiarity with welding safety standards and procedures.
• Ability to operate and maintain welding equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in various positions and environments.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
