Plumber​/Pipefitter Master

Delgado Community College is seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to handle the full scope of the plumbing system for the entire college with nearly 1.5 million square feet of property.

One year of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been on-the-job experience:

• Three years of experience or training in pipe fitting, steam fitting, or plumbing.

• Repairs and modification to all plumbing systems including above and below ground.
• Performs repairs and preventative maintenance to domestic and commercial hot water heaters and boilers to ensure they are within code and insurance specifications.
• Installs and repairs plumbing, steam regulators, steam traps, and relief valves.
• Assembles various metal and plastic pressure and sewerage piping using threaded joints, soldering techniques, clamps, bonds, and leaded joints.

Appointment Type:
Probational - This position may be filled as a Probationary Appointment requiring 12-24 months on probation.

No Civil Service test score is required in order to be considered for this vacancy.
