Trades ​/ Skilled Labor Technician, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical systems, with expertise in various repair and maintenance tasks. This role requires a hands‑on approach to diagnosing and resolving equipment issues, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met.

The mechanic completes inspection, maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, forklifts, pickups, and other heavy‑duty vehicles. Technicians will keep track of important system components such as engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical cooling systems and steering systems.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of machinery and equipment, including diesel engines and HVAC systems.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using schematics and technical manuals to identify solutions effectively.
• Conduct equipment repairs as necessary to ensure proper functionality.
• Assemble and disassemble machinery components as needed for repair or replacement.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.

• Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role, with hands‑on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, suspension systems, vacuum/pressure truck HVAC systems, electrical systems, fabricated welding, hydraulics/pneumatics, PMs, troubleshooting and mechanical schematics.
• Own a set of tools.
• CDL is a plus.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
• A valid driver's license and safe driving record.
