Mechanic Millwrights

Mechanic Millwrights are needed at T. Parker Host’s United Bulk Terminals facility in Davant, Louisiana. This company operates one of the largest bulk terminals in the U.S. Gulf, specializing in coal and petcoke. The role involves installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing machinery related to cargo handling. Ideal candidates are skilled in millwright duties, welding, and heavy equipment maintenance, and are comfortable working in a dynamic, industrial environment.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Advanced knowledge in millwright duties
- Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques (ARC, MIG)
- Proficient in hydraulic/pneumatic principles and application
- Understanding of lubricants and maintenance best practices
- Ability to read specifications, service literature, and engineering drawings
- Experience with precision measuring devices
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand/air tools, cranes, and rigging equipment
- Knowledge of heavy equipment (Caterpillar, Volvo, Komatsu, Manitowoc)
- Ability to work all shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to attain and maintain a TWIC card
- Successful completion of background check, physical, and drug screen
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights up to 130 feet
- Ability to work in dusty environments and all weather conditions
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT) strongly preferred
- Friction crane experience a plus
