This role is aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions (“Diamond Infra”) company and will be seconded from Dow to Diamond Infrastructure Solutions until January 1, 2027. At that time, the role will become directly aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions Company.
About this roleDiamond Infrastructure Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician‑Instrument Tech in Plaquemine (LA).
As the Maintenance Technician‑Instrument Tech, you would provide maintenance craft‑specific support to plants. You would maintain and repair all types of equipment with craft knowledge and expertise. Provides front line reliability and maintenance subject matter expertise to ensure sustained reliable equipment and process operation. Provides technical expertise which may be equipment‑based or repair technique‑based and impacts the reliability, availability, and maintainability of the system and/or equipment.
Responsibilities- Diagnoses and corrects equipment problems.
- Calibrates and aligns equipment.
- Completes preventative maintenance activities.
- Checks sizing of components and parts.
- Specifies, requisitions, and installs parts and equipment.
- Coordinates maintenance spare parts.
- Assists in planning, prioritizing, and scheduling maintenance through planner, work coordinator and operations input.
- Sets up and calibrates, tests, measures and repairs all types of controls and instruments with pneumatic, electrical, and electronic variables.
- Repairs, maintains and installs equipment and machinery which is used in the process.
- Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions and documents failure analysis.
- Collects equipment operation and history data to facilitate reliability improvements.
- Works within established Maintenance Work Processes and helps resolve issues that surface as a result of planning and scheduling work.
- A minimum of a High School diploma or GED and one or more of the following:
- 2 year degree in a Mechanical related field.
- NCCER certified as a Millwright (NCCER Certification obtained through an Instructor Led Training Program is a preference).
- In lieu of a degree, 3 or more years of relevant military experience.
- 5 or more years of experience in an industrial environment as an instrument tech or related field.
- Current, valid US driver's license.
