JOURNEYMAN MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN
Must be skilled, fully trained tradesperson who performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on equipment, machinery, or facilities-typically after completing an apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Preventive maintenance:
Inspect and service equipment to prevent failures - Repairs:
Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues - Troubleshooting:
Identify root causes of equipment problems - Installation:
Set up and test new machinery or systems - Safety compliance:
Follow OSHA and company safety standards - Documentation:
Record maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used
- Mechanical and electrical systems (motors, conveyors, PLCs, etc.)
- Blueprint and schematic reading
- Use of hand and power tools
- Problem-solving and critical thinking
- Basic computer or CMMS (maintenance software) skills
- Completed apprenticeship, trade school, or several years of experience
- Journeyman certification (in some trades/regions)
- Ability to work shifts, including nights or weekends
- Physical ability for lifting, climbing, and standing for long periods
- Warehouses and distribution centers
- Manufacturing plants
- Commercial buildings or facilities
- Utilities and industrial settings
This position is expected to work primarily in industrial settings, professionalism, adherence to safety protocols, and "team player" is an essential requirement for this position
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour (DOE)
