Hydraulink is a leading hydraulic hose and fitting provider. We are looking for a branch‑based hydraulic hose technician who will provide high‑quality multi‑product installation, repair and maintenance service across a diverse range of customers. The role will involve working on mechanical equipment, assisting with counter sales, handling warehouse duties, preparing orders, accepting deliveries and more.
Responsibilities- Provide high‑quality installation, repair and maintenance services for hydraulic hoses and fittings.
- Work on a variety of mechanical equipment and support on‑site service calls.
- Assist with counter sales, order preparation and product delivery.
- Maintain stock and manage inventory in the warehouse.
- Communicate effectively with clients and build trusted relationships.
- Knowledge of hydraulic hoses and fittings.
- Previous experience with Pronto (advantageous).
- Effective communication skills.
- Minimum of one year experience in an industrial or mechanical environment.
- Experience with hydraulic hose and fittings preferred but not essential.
- Relevant trade or tertiary qualification in mechanics, engineering or related field, or at least one year in a field service technician role within hydraulics.
- Minimum Hydraulink Certificate of Competency.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools.
- Ability to assemble and crimp hydraulic hose assemblies to specification.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, fittings and components.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
- Stock management and product identification skills.
- Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Full New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 25 kg.
- Digital technology proficiency (mobile apps, AI tools, new systems).
- Revenue growth skills through account and customer development.
- Adaptability and flexibility in changing work tasks or environments.
- Attention to detail.
- Interpersonal/problem‑solving abilities.
- Client management and excellent customer service.
- Planning and organization skills.
- Residency or valid working rights.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Pre‑employment medical (including drug and alcohol screen) and criminal record check compliant with recruitment process.
- Hourly rate up to $41.00 per hour.
