Piledriver man
Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a skilled Piledriver man for our Heavy Civil division in Jefferson, LA. This role involves operating pile-driving equipment to construct foundations for various heavy civil projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of pile-driving equipment, including hydraulic hammers, vibratory hammers, and leads.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine pile locations and depths.
- Assist in the assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of pile-driving equipment.
- Set and align piles according to specifications, ensuring proper plumb and grade.
- Monitor equipment performance and make necessary adjustments during operations.
- Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and other trades.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report major malfunctions to supervisors.
- Participate in pre-job safety briefings and daily tool-box talks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Piledriver man in heavy civil construction.
- Proven experience operating various types of pile-driving equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Strong understanding of construction safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb, and work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Primoris Heavy Civil provides highway, port, airfield, rail and marine (intermodal transportation) construction services to private commercial and industrial clients as well as governmental entities such as the Department of Transportation and the US Army Corps of Engineers.
