The Traffic Control Supervisor manages road and highway construction projects, ensuring the safety of the work zone and its participants.

Key responsibilities include:

• Setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control devices, such as cones and signs
• Creating a traffic routing plan that complies with regulations
• Coordinating flagging duties and controlling traffic with a sign paddle
• Supervising teams as they install equipment, providing on-the-job training, and ensuring they follow safety protocols
• Communicating with customers and the foreman or supervisor, and notifying them of any safety issues
• Keeping the job site free of hazards and unloading trucks
• Compiling daily logs
• Driving company vehicles to transport equipment and team members
• Any additional tasks or projects assigned by their supervisor

Required skills and qualifications include:

• Certification with ATSSA credentials
• High school diploma or GED certificate
• At least one year of full-time field experience in the work zone traffic control
• Successful candidates must complete a drug screening and background check prior to employment
