Role Description The Electrician role at CAC – Custom Automated Controls is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Mansfield, LA. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in industrial environments such as oil, gas, wind, and solar facilities. The Electrician will read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics, perform wiring and conduit work, and ensure all installations comply with applicable codes and safety regulations.
The role involves diagnosing electrical issues, performing troubleshooting, and completing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. The Electrician will collaborate with project managers and other team members, document work performed, and participate in safety meetings and compliance activities. COMPETITIVE WAGES.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of electricity and practical electrical work, including wiring, circuits, and electrical components.
- Candidates should possess skills in maintenance & repair of industrial electrical systems and equipment.
- Candidates should possess troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently and safely.
- Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of electrical engineering principles relevant to industrial applications.
- Relevant vocational training, apprenticeship completion, or certification/licensure as an electrician (e.g., journeyperson) is preferred.
- Experience working in industrial settings such as oil and gas, renewable energy, or manufacturing is beneficial.
- Strong commitment to safety practices, including adherence to OSHA and company safety policies.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications, and to use standard electrical tools and test equipment.
- Reliable communication skills, ability to work collaboratively on‑site, and readiness to work in varying outdoor and industrial conditions.
