I&E Technician

CF Industries, a leader in nitrogen fertilizer manufacturing, is seeking a skilled Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) Technician to ensure the integrity and functionality of our instrumentation and electrical systems. Located within our state-of-the-art facilities, the I&E Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining operational excellence, adhering to our commitment to safety and sustainability. This role requires a keen attention to detail and a robust understanding of industrial equipment and systems used in the manufacturing of nitrogen-based products.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues with process control systems and automation.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system designs and integration.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
• Document technical issues and effective solutions.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training sessions.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and electronic instruments.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS).
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
