Electrical Apprentice – Sustainability

• Assist electricians with installations, alterations, additions, and repairs to electrical systems, conductors, materials, and equipment
• Perform assigned tasks and material handling under the direct supervision of an electrician
• Keep materials, tools, and equipment orderly and maintain a clean work area
• Comply with company and job safety requirements, including OSHA requirements
• Report to assigned job sites on time
• Properly store and safely handle tools, equipment, and materials
• Assist with wire pulls
• Mount and install conduit, wires, and strapping as directed
• Identify wire and conductor colors accurately
• Read labels, job site maps, directions, instruction manuals, and written instructions
• Dig trenches using hand tools

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Must meet entry criteria for Apprenticeship Schooling
• Must be enrolled in an approved Apprenticeship Program
• Ability to quickly learn hand conduit bending
• Ability to use two-handed tools and equipment, including cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jack hammers
• Ability to acquire and maintain personal hand tools as directed
• Valid driver's license and own transportation
• Ability to operate a platform lift
• Basic math ability
• Ability to understand verbal instructions and heed warnings
• Required to attend Apprenticeship Classes and Functions
• Maintain passing grades during semesters in the Apprenticeship Program
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
• Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary
• 5–10% travel to job sites or office location
• Ability to work on ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
• Ability to work in tight and confined spaces
• Ability to operate machinery and power tools
• Ability to adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds

Demonstrates proficiency in assisting electricians with installations and repairs of electrical systems while adhering to safety standards. Capable of effectively handling tools and materials, maintaining organization, and communicating instructions clearly.
