Maintenance Specialist II
Meter Shop assignment includes performance of prevent and corrective maintenance on water meters and meter boxes. Work may include installation, exchange, reading, and/or repairing transmitters on water meters using hand held reading processors and updating work orders using laptop workbooks. May be required to read meters using a hand held processor. May oversee the flushing and sampling of source water and potable water for compliance monitoring or customer complaints;
performs field water analysis as needed, performs customer relations and notification site visits. Customer Service assignment will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on meters and meter boxes including issuing, testing, repairing and calibrating meters, as well as repairing transmitters. Have computer skills to perform proper research, update dial changes, exchange work orders and utilize spreadsheets for inventory purposes. Work may include installation, exchange and reading of water meters and updating work orders using laptop workbooks.
May be required to read meters using a hand held processor. All Maintenance Specialist II's will be able to perform any task required of a Maintenance Specialist I employee and may be called upon to do so as required. Maintains job safety standards (personal protection equipment, etc.); complies with City of Shreveport vehicle safety rules; trains new team members on safe work practices.
Regularly attends required safety, job related and certification training classes as required. Subject to be on call 24/7. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Salary: $3,326.27 - $4,622.80 Monthly
