The Aircraft Mechanic is a on-site role located in New Orleans, LA, responsible for maintaining the safety, reliability, and airworthiness of the company’s aircraft. Day-to-day tasks include performing scheduled and unscheduled inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and avionics issues, and completing repairs in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications. The Aircraft Mechanic will document maintenance activities, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with pilots and operations staff to ensure aircraft readiness for tours and training flights.

The role also includes monitoring parts inventory, supporting continuous safety improvements, and adhering to established maintenance procedures and company policies.

• Strong aircraft maintenance and repair skills, including experience with general aviation aircraft and familiarity with manufacturer maintenance manuals.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations, airworthiness directives, and standard aviation safety practices relevant to aircraft inspection and servicing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, service bulletins, and maintenance documentation, and to maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Proficiency with mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment, and capability to troubleshoot engines, airframes, and basic avionics systems.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with pilots, instructors, and operational staff in a service-focused environment.
• High attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and commitment to safety and quality in all maintenance activities.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate required
• Ability to work on-site in New Orleans, LA, including occasional evenings or weekends based on operational needs.
