The Overhead Crane Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Lockport, LA. This position is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining overhead cranes and related hydraulic systems to ensure safe and efficient operation. Day-to-day tasks include performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, replacing or repairing components, and completing accurate service documentation and inspection reports. The technician collaborates with other team members, follows safety procedures and industry standards, and communicates clearly with customers about findings, repair recommendations, and timelines.

The role may involve working at customer sites, using hand and power tools, climbing or working at heights, and responding to service calls as needed.

• Demonstrated experience in overhead crane service, repair, and inspection, including mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Strong technical skills in troubleshooting, diagnosing equipment faults, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, diagrams, and work orders.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to crane operation, rigging, and working at heights.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and basic electrical testing equipment.
• Solid communication and documentation skills for completing service reports and interacting with customers and team members.
• Ability to work on-site in industrial environments, including standing, lifting, climbing, and working in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites; clean driving record preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanics, hydraulics, or related fields is beneficial.
• Previous experience in crane service, industrial maintenance, or heavy equipment repair is strongly preferred.
