Field Test Technician – Tillage

Sage Ag Inc. is currently seeking hardworking, self-motivated, & detailed oriented individuals who are passionate about production agriculture & machinery. Through this position, you will be working with an agricultural technology company in an experimental field test environment. This position is 95% travel throughout the Midwest and requires extensive periods away from home. You will be working independently and as a team with engineers, technicians, & customers, on the cutting edge of agricultural technology.

In this exciting position, you will be working with a team to test and monitor operations of real-time soil testing sensors performing tillage work.

• Monitor operation of sensors and tillage tools
• Reporting machine issues directly to design engineers
• Gathering critical machine information, crop condition and test data
• Gathering data and uploading data to software engineers
• Performing frequent software updates

• Minimum of 250 hours of agricultural machinery operation
• Minimum GPA of 2.5 in an agricultural major; preferably AST or Ag Engineering
• Mechanically inclined
• Strong knowledge of precision agriculture equipment
• Strong technology and computer troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Willing to travel for six weeks or more at a time
• Valid U.S. Driver's License w/ clean driving record
• Out-going
• Positive attitude
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in a team environment & alone
• Ability to work long hours, some night operation will be necessary
• Ability to keep accurate & detailed records of work performed

Job Duration:
September 1, 2026 - November 30, 2026 (opportunity for full-time may be available)

Location:

Based out of Slater, Iowa - traveling throughout the Midwest region

Compensation:
Salary Range $60,000-$70,000/ yearly. All travel expenses paid by Sage Ag Inc.
