Lamarque Ford is a family-owned and operated dealership committed to providing quality service to our customers and a positive work environment for our employees. Our Collision Center is looking for an experienced and dependable Body Technician to join our team.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, works efficiently, and understands the importance of completing collision repairs safely and according to manufacturer and company standards.

The Collision Body Technician is responsible for repairing damaged vehicle bodies and restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. This position requires knowledge of collision repair procedures, attention to detail, proper use of repair equipment, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements

• Inspect damaged vehicles and determine the appropriate repair procedures.
• Perform structural and non-structural collision repairs.
• Remove damaged body panels, trim, hardware, and related components.
• Repair or replace damaged body panels and components.
• Perform frame and structural repairs as required.
• Measure vehicles to identify structural damage and ensure proper alignment.
• Properly straighten, weld, repair, and replace damaged components.
• Prepare vehicles for refinishing by properly sanding, filling, masking, and completing necessary bodywork.
• Install replacement parts and ensure proper fit and alignment.
• Reassemble vehicles according to manufacturer specifications.
• Follow OEM repair procedures and collision repair standards.
• Use collision repair tools and equipment safely and properly.
• Communicate with estimators, managers, parts personnel, painters, and other technicians regarding repair needs and progress.
• Identify additional damage and communicate necessary repairs to management or the estimator.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Properly care for company tools and equipment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Complete repairs in a timely manner while maintaining quality standards.
• Perform quality checks on completed repairs.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Knowledge of vehicle body repair and structural repair procedures.
• Ability to read and understand repair estimates and work orders.
• Knowledge of OEM repair procedures preferred.
• I-CAR certification is a plus.
• ASE or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
• Ability to safely operate collision repair tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and working in various positions around vehicles.

The technician must be able to safely lift and move automotive parts and equipment and work around collision repair equipment, tools, and vehicles.
