Assistant Operator - Rentals
, you'll work alongside experienced operators to support mixing plant operations, maintain equipment, manage inventory, and help keep jobs running safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on position that provides valuable experience with equipment, chemicals, field operations, and safety procedures while offering opportunities for advancement within CNC Oilfield Services.
- Assist with operating mixing plants safely and efficiently
- Help measure and pour chemicals according to specifications
- Support sweep viscosity monitoring and shipping procedures
- Assist with rigging up and rigging down pumps and pods
- Help change pod socks and gaskets as needed
- Learn equipment processes and operational procedures from senior operators
- Wash tanks and equipment inside and out to company standards
- Assist with equipment inspections and readiness checks
- Help maintain rental inventory and chemical stock levels
- Support preventive maintenance activities
- Identify and report equipment issues or maintenance needs
- Keep equipment clean, organized, and job-ready
- Follow all CNC operating policies and safety procedures
- Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and training
- Maintain required certifications and safety credentials
- Report unsafe conditions and support a culture of safety
- Learn proper accident and emergency response procedures
- Use all required PPE and follow safe work practices
- Assist operators and field personnel with daily job activities
- Communicate professionally with coworkers and customers
- Help process job requests and prepare equipment for deployment
- Support multiple divisions as operational needs require
- Be willing to respond to after-hours or on-call support when needed
- Represent CNC in a professional and positive manner
- Assist with inventory counts and material tracking
- Help ensure tickets and paperwork are completed accurately
- Maintain clean work areas, shop spaces, and yard facilities
- Support efficient workflow and operational excellence
- Take pride in keeping the workspace safe and organized

- H2S Certification
- Previous oilfield, industrial, construction, or mechanical experience
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn chemical handling and equipment operations
- Dependable and safety-minded approach to work
No two days are the same in this role. You'll work:
- Outdoors in various weather conditions
- Around industrial equipment, chemicals, and machinery
- In a fast-paced environment supporting field operations
- At shop locations, yards, and customer job sites
- Occasionally on nights, weekends, or holidays as business needs require
This position requires the ability to:
- Lift, carry, and move equipment and materials
- Stand, walk, climb, bend, and work for extended periods
- Operate hand tools and equipment safely
- Read labels, gauges, and safety information
- Work in confined spaces when necessary
- Maintain awareness of surroundings and safety hazards
