This is a part-time position that is located at the State Museum in New Orleans, LA
.
This position will work with the Director of Marketing to focus on website and database management, graphic design, social media content, and digital newsletter development, as well as programmatic assistance.
The Louisiana State Museum’s collections and educational programs stimulate awareness and appreciation of our state’s rich and diverse history and culture. No experience or training required.
Verification of enrollmentVerification of enrollment from the University will be required upon hire. Students do not need to be registered during the summer sessions in order to be qualified for student status. If they graduate in the spring semester, proof of enrollment for the fall semester must be received in order to continue employment under the student employment program.
Job Duties- Assist Director and Communications Officer with all statewide museum projects.
- Assist with the design and promotion of print materials.
- Assist with the review and maintenance of the LSM’s various websites.
- Assist with Constant Contact lists and the development of a CRM.
- Pull data to populate databases.
- Develop specific news blast platforms.
- Provide technical assistance to the Communications Officer.
- Promote museum-related funding opportunities.
- Develop content for LSM social media accounts and communications.
- Assist with the logistics and coordination of any local on-site meetings, workshops, trainings, etc.
- Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks as needed.
- Appointment Type: Unclassified student position.
- Work Schedule: This is a part-time position that will report in-office. This position will average 15-25 hours per week.
- Compensation: Pay is $12-$14 per hour depending on experience.
No Civil Service test score is required in order to be considered for this vacancy.
