responsibilities

highly responsible professional and supervisory work overseeing the social services provided to individuals, families, and groups in a community, institutional, clinical and/or home setting; related work as required.

• a master's degree in social work, social welfare, sociology, counseling, psychology, education, human development and family studies or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• a bachelor's degree in social work, social welfare, sociology, counseling, psychology, education, human development and family studies or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• two (2) years of experience providing social services.
• master's degree is preferred.
• note: some positions may require applicant to be registered with louisiana state board of social worker examiners as a registered social worker (rsw).
• note: positions at the juvenile justice intervention center require a one (1) year probationary period.
• prior to appointment, the hiring agency is required to verify education claimed by the applicant to qualify for this classification.
