Location: New Orleans
Administrative and social services work serving as liaison with juvenile court by conducting daily outreach to lawyers and court personnel regarding progressive proceedings of youths' cases towards adjudication and/or resolution. Work includes conducting risk assessment interviews to gather information about a client and family which indicates likelihood of re‑offending, targets areas for change and measuring outcomes of interventions; and related work as required.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Business Administration or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
- One (1) year of full‑time experience in counseling, parole/probation, juvenile corrections, education, juvenile services, family/social services or a related area.
Note: Additional experience as a Juvenile Detention Counselor I (or higher) or in related human services case management working with youth, home visit programming, home health, or corrections settings may substitute for the Bachelor's Degree at a rate of one (1) year of related experience equals one (1) year of college credits.
