Position: School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | New Orleans, Louisiana
Location: New Orleans

Degree in Speech‑Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech‑Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact supporting young learners as a full‑time Speech‑Language Pathologist in a PreK school environment. This contract opportunity runs from August 2026 to May 2027, working with children ages 3‑5 across multiple sites in the vibrant New Orleans area. As an onsite‑only provider, you’ll collaborate with dedicated educators and families, delivering essential speech and language services that foster lifelong communication skills.

Qualifications
  • Valid SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Previous school‑based SLP experience preferred
  • Skilled in conducting evaluations, developing IEPs, and implementing therapy for children ages 3‑5
  • Ability to manage itinerant caseloads efficiently and flexibly
  • Strong interpersonal communication and collaborative skills
  • Commitment to delivering services onsite
Primary Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and deliver therapy services to PreK students with diverse speech and language needs
  • Develop and update individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting approaches as needed
  • Partner with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize each child’s communication development
  • Travel between assigned school sites as needed (itinerant position)
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
