Professional, supervisory and administrative work coordinating and directing the city’s centralized adjudication bureau. This position oversees administrative hearings for the Departments of Safety and Permits, Code Enforcement, Vieux Carre Commission, Historic District Landmarks Commission, Public Works, Police, Sanitation, Health and the Fire Department. The role also involves supervising and creating policies for the bureau office staff and instructing authorized personnel on procedures and guidelines applicable to administrative hearings.
QualificationsDomicile requirements are waived for the purpose of application. However, all new full‑time employees hired into this classification on or after January 1, 2013, must be domiciled in Orleans Parish within 180 days of hire. Public safety employees and certain airport employees are excluded from this provision.
