Collegiate Academies schools are at the forefront of the increase in New Orleans’ and Baton Rouge’ students attending college. We build world‑class public schools that prepare all students for college success. We embrace meeting the needs of every student, including Black and Brown scholars, those starting 5 years below reading level, students ready for AP in 9th grade, over‑aged students, and students with IEP, 504, or BIP.

We celebrate growth and inspire scholars to matriculate into higher education.

Scholar Support

• Manage mental‑health related obstacles, including providing individual, family, or group therapy and attending scheduled family conferences and staff meetings.
• Implement interventions for all modalities of direct service to scholars.
• Provide interventions for scholars with exceptionalities or identified within special education.

Teacher and Team Support

• Provide consultation to staff on mental‑health issues impacting scholars and families.
• Support teachers in all ways, as teachers are the primary support for our scholars.
• Participate in all PD, including teaching‑specific PD and support students if needed.
• Take part in team duties such as hallway monitoring and daily responsibilities.

Community and Family Partnerships

• Network with community‑based mental‑health organizations and public agencies to broker resources for scholars and families.
• Maintain ongoing communication with scholars’ families regarding interventions and progress.
• Assist families in addressing scholar behavior to create consistency between home and school.

• At least two years of experience working at a high‑performing urban high school preferred.
• LMSW or LPC required.
• Preferred:
  Bilingual in English and Spanish.
