About the Role We are looking for a skilled PHP / Word Press Developer to join our development team and work on building, customising, and maintaining Word Press-based solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for developing high-quality themes and plugins, integrating third-party services, and ensuring the performance, stability, and scalability of web applications. You will collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver reliable and user-friendly solutions that follow Word Press best practices.

• Strong understanding of PHP fundamentals and modern PHP development
• Hands‑on experience with Word Press theme and plugin development
• Solid knowledge of the Word Press Codex, hooks, filters, and best practices

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Java Script
• Understanding of responsive design principles and cross‑browser compatibility

• Experience working with MySQL or other relational databases
• Ability to write and optimise SQL queries

• Experience with Git and collaborative version control workflows
• Ability to integrate third‑party APIs into Word Press‑based solutions

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with testing methodologies and tools such as PHPUnit
• Understanding of web performance optimisation techniques

• Strong problem‑solving skills and analytical thinking
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
• Team‑oriented mindset and ability to collaborate effectively
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
• High level of attention to detail in implementation and code reviews

• Experience with additional PHP frameworks
• Knowledge of security best practices for Word Press
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

• Develop and maintain Word Press themes and plugins in line with best practices
• Customise existing Word Press functionality to meet project requirements
• Integrate third‑party APIs and external services into Word Press solutions
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented PHP code
• Ensure responsive, cross‑browser compatible front‑end implementations
• Optimise website performance, security, and scalability
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality
• Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams
