Controls DVT Engineer – Plymouth, MN – Hybrid
Daikin Applied is seeking a Controls DVT Engineer responsible for planning, developing, and executing test cases and testing strategies for Daikin Controls products to deliver high‑quality HVAC products and solutions. You will provide automated testing expertise and oversight to meet the performance and environmental requirements of the Daikin products.
Location:
Hybrid, Plymouth, MN
- Create test plans and procedures to evaluate software performance and operation
- Build software testing programs that automate testing processes
- Run software testing procedures to evaluate the software
- Document all testing procedures
- Report bugs and make recommendations to improve the software product
- Collaborate with test engineers, software programmers, and other team members
- Retest software after bugs are fixed to ensure the program works properly
- Attend meetings with the development team, clients, and other groups
- Bachelor’s degree in computer or electrical engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience, preferably in software or hardware testing
- Working knowledge of Agile development practices and Azure Dev Ops
- Working experience with software test tools and processes, building and testing frameworks, and consumer-facing applications and APIs
- Excellent English communication skills, advanced both written and spoken
- Good communication, planning, and organization/control skills; strong analytic and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with model‑based testing with Simulink
- Experience with hardware‑in‑the‑loop and model‑in‑the‑loop testing
- Good understanding of coding in C/C++ and C# programming languages
- Working knowledge in analysis, design, and programming
- Experience with scripting and configuration tools
- Experience working with international teams

Typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $74,200 to $124,300 in Minnesota. Salary is determined by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
